Thailand - Mon Cham (World Trip Day 47)
The sleeper train took us on a 12-hour journey from Ayutthaya to Chiang Mai. The journey was really pleasant, especially when there was a super humorous car attendant.
We were looking for a pure land in the Northern Thailand and found Mon Cham on a hill ridge of Mae Rim! It’s a less discovered area with very few tourists. We left the hotel at 6am, rode a motorbike all the way up to the top of the mountain, and saw this amazing camping site & cafe that overlooks spectacular landscape. This little place is like an escape from the heat of Chiang Mai. Farmers here plant herbs like rosemaries, peppermints, camomiles etc. It’s really the beauty of nature with a human touch. Let all your senses get soaked in the fragrance, the view, the touch of the breezes, and did I mention the tasty food made right from fresh herbs in the garden? I just couldn’t hold back my joy.
